How do I blend food etc..without a blender?!?
Jan 19, 2009 by brendan.dunlop | Posted in Cooking & Recipes
Hey there
I know it sounds bizarre, but I haven't had a chance to go out and buy a blender yet, and will only be able to at the weekend. I was just wandering, is there anyway you can blend fruit such as orange, banana etc... without a power or hand held blender?
Many thanks!
I am having a flare up right now of Fibromyalgia and my hands, wrists ankles & feet are extremely swollen?
Jan 19, 2009 by Garbos Autograph | Posted in Other - Diseases
To the point that it is painful. I do NOT have diuretics at the moment and would rather go natural anyway. Black coffee and tea are the only things Zi can think of to aid in the swelling going down...as when I say it is painful it is seriously NO JOKE! I have just sent off for a very good blender to juice fast when this happens but until 3 days when it arrives, what would u recommend to at the very least relieve the swelling therein taking away the pain? It is throbbing...and NOT from anything I ate that i am aware of.....I appreciate any and all serious answers to this....just do NOT tell me that it is NOT from Fibro....I have been though endless tests and this is what has been found, UNLESS you have another more inventive and realistic malady that I perhaps have not checked for in over 50 blood tests.
Thanks in Advance!

Awww geez mate ..... i'm sorry you're in so much pain ........ try eating foods that are natural diuretics instead of dehydrating yourself with the caffeine hits ....... ie ~ alfalfa, asparagus, celery, dandelion leaves (brewed up in a tea of course), nettle leaves also brewed in a tea ...... go organic with the dandelion and nettle tea as the commercial varieties have been pulverised to within an inch of their lives and all the richness of their essential oils would be long gone ... the commercial varieties could never possibly have the therapeutic benefits of organic........ foods rich in vitamin B6 can also act as natural diuretics ie ~ fish, cantalope, cabbage, eggs, oats ....... i sincerely hope your pain subsides lickitysplit mate.
oh, if you decide to supplement with a B vitamin please get one including all the B's ie ~ B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12 and folic acid etc... as they work best synergistically (together)....... they'll bolster your immunity, digestive and neural functioning and help you deal with the stress of everyday living we are all exposed to at some level or another too.
♥
oh, hey, sorry ...... please also ensure that you're drinking at least 2 litres of fresh filtered water daily ... particularly if drinking the herbal teas ....... and ensure you still brush your pearly whites regularly as the teas may discolor them otherwise ..... nothing substitutes for water and dehydration may possibly be playing a hand in your current pain ......... when your body becomes dehydrated it hangs onto the little bit it has left and hence puffiness can occur anywhere in your body ....... ;0)
♥
peace baby

A hand wisk is prefectly adequate, or you can use a fork. Either way, make sure all your utensils and bowl are dry and clean or they will not thicken
