Am I seeing something that isnt there? (10 pts)?
Nov 28, 2008 by Sarah B | Posted in Other - Beauty & Style
No I REALLY like this guy, last night we were talking on the internet and this is a couple key points in the conversation that made me question if he is starting to view me as gf potential...oooor if I am seeing something that really isnt there ( maybe he is joking/ being just friendly friendly) these are the key points. the '____' splits different parts of the conversation..not in order.your analysis and answer would be better than mine..dont just say a simle "he likes you, he doesnt like you"..I want a reasoning for your answer..or just what you think in general (btw he is a VERY nonsexual person..so dont assume he wants in my pants..)
Me:
well...this is the price YOU pay for staying up all night talking to me
Jared:
i'll take the suffering for it

Size of the propane gas tank for Turkey Deep fryer. ?
Nov 24, 2008 by Asaka | Posted in Other - Food & Drink
I need to know the size of the propane gas tank for Turkey Deep fryer. Which size should be enough for one turkey?
Also I live in Jersey City area. Does anyone know where I might be able to get the container it self? Thanks!
It depends on the BTU's of the appliance. Take a look at the rating plate on there. If it is 70,000 btu or less go with a 20lb cylinder (same as a grill), but if it's much more than that, say 100,000 btu or more, you might want to get a 30 or 40lb cylinder...
The reason is twofold. First of all, the 20lber might not last long enough to cook your bird! The other reason is that the cylinder might not be able to produce enough vapor for a larger burner. Propane cylinders absorb heat out of the air around them to make the liquid inside the cylinder boil and change state to a vapor. If the cylinder is too small for the appliance it will freeze up and the burner wont operate properly...

Do I need a backflow preventer with a gas turbine?
Jul 15, 2008 by spudsmac0 | Posted in Engineering
I made a gas turbine from a turbocharger and my fuel is propane. I have a propane regulator from a deep-fryer to regulate the fuel. Somebody told me I needed a backflow preventer to keep flames from the propane tank. Now I know this may sound crazy, but it is my understanding that there should not be a danger of an explosion because there will be no oxygen in the tank if it does happen. Fuel w/o is not a danger, or am I wrong. Plus, shouldn't the regulator prevent it? It is a modern one.
You are perfectly correct.
The gas leaving the regulator is at a lower pressure than that in the supply tank and, at a high velocity from the nozzle. Back-flow cannot occur.
Neither the gas nor the liquid in the tank contains any Oxygen for combustion to take place.
The gas must first mix with the air in the correct proportions before it will ignite and, this takes place at a distance from the nozzle.
The liquid must first vaporise to gas before it will burn and, as stated must also have the correct amount of air (oxygen) mixed with it in order to ignite and burn.

tuff stain won't come out help me?
Jul 05, 2008 by Jerad | Posted in Cleaning & Laundry
I did something really stupid. Ok, I deep fried some fish in my deep fryer. Its a propane one . You know the black gunk from the flames that builds up on the bottom of the deep fryer from the flames. I guess you could call it soot? Well I stuck the deep fryer in my dishwasher and now well that black stuff is all over and ive beed scrubbing and scrubbing. My rim polish works but man thats a lot of scrubbing. Go ahead call me stupid if you want. Live and learn. Lol and you thought you have done some dumb things. Any suggestion on what will take it out. I thought about taking the dishwasher outside and blasting it with the pressure washer. thanks for help
How long would a 30LB propane tank last if......?
Oct 03, 2007 by darino97 | Posted in Other - Food & Drink
I have 3 turkey deep fryers and will be cooking 15 turkeys, 3 at a time. Is there anyway to figure how long a 30 propane tank will last ? I figure each burner will be running 4 hours.
Why don't you just get a gage so you know when they are low? And have a back up one (tank) if you think you'll need it
