Which is better- a gas or electric turkey fryer?
Nov 16, 2006 by mopvt | Posted in Other - Food & Drink
Safety is a concern, but I also want to know if the electric turkey fryer holds up as the gas fryer does. Pros and Cons for both please! :-)
I've never used nor even heard of an electric turkey fryer, but I can say that my gas fryer turns out one hell of a good bird. They are dangerous though. Definitely only to be used outside - not in the garage. And always turn the flame OFF as you slowly dunk in the fowl. When the rolling oil starts to calm down turn the flame back on. Check out Alton Brown's episode of "Good Eats". He goes a little overboard with his safety demonstration but he's informative and entertaining.

how to convert nat gas fryer to lpg?
Sep 04, 2007 by dave c | Posted in Other - Science
have taken the fryer apart and removed the burner jet(nat gas), the fryer has no make of model number on it and i need to know what size lpg jet to get. the nat gas on is a 4mm hole with a 5/16th bsp thread with a no.19 stamped on the side. is there any conversion table to use?? the fryer is rated at 120,000 btu. ive trawled the net but no luck. PLEASE HELP.
Thanks
It's a job for a professional, and it is illegal in some places for an unlicensed person to do these things.
Please refrain from blowing yourself up. Please take it to your propane dealer.

Can you use natural gas to fuel a turkey fryer instead of propane?
Nov 15, 2006 by highspeedkid | Posted in Other - Food & Drink
I would run a line with flexible gas hose
You can but you will have to change the orifice. This is the part with the hole that releases the gas. It will have to be bigger for natural gas because it has less btu's per cubic foot. Natural gas will not save you any money, but it may be more convenient. Talk to a plumbing and heating professional to get the right part.

1987 S10 Gas To Diesal Have unlimited supply of fryer grease and would put conversion kit to run on?

Thats the only reason Y I want to do this thanks again for all the answers.
you would have to get a motor swap.
because only deisel engines can run off of fryer grease.
i believe the early s10's actualy came with deisel 4 cylinders as an option.
