Jan 18, 2009 by Penny Laine Makes Glazed Donuts | Posted in Polls & Surveys
Home Depot and Lowe's do not have it in stock yet.
I bought a new smoker and need this!
(There is no grilling or bbq section!)
Thanks everyone!!!
try a fireplace shop or a farrier supply/ feed and grain store. or look for blacksmiths supply's. tmm
if you are just going to be smoking something think of green wet wood and regular charcoal.

What's the best kind of smoker box for a gas bbq grill?
Nov 21, 2008 by Jikaru | Posted in Cooking & Recipes
What's the best kind of smoker box for a gas bbq grill? Ceramic, Stainless Steel or Cast Iron?
Thank you!
Any of those boxes work, it just depending on the application duration, if you're plans are a long smoke using chunks then the box is out, short smoking with chips is what the boxes are used for. Personally I smoke most items more then 30 minutes and found the "boxes" are a waste of time and money, I use two different things, heavy duty foil pouches with holes punched in them and/or a #1 or #2 tin can with holes punched in the bottom.

Using a BBQ Smoker. What is the difference between a Smoker Grill and a verticle smoker? ?
Nov 04, 2008 by Matthew M | Posted in Cooking & Recipes
a smoker grill usually has a place to have the wood chips in a different area then the flame, passive smoker. A Vertical smoker has the wood chips directly under the food in a drum-like shape, with the flame under the wood chips.

do you know how to BBQ a Brisket?
Aug 30, 2008 by Kris | Posted in Cooking & Recipes
I have never ever made Brisket before and I do not have a smoker. I do have a gas grill. My brisket is about 4 lbs. My questions are as follows:
How do I BBQ a Brisket and for how long?
Do you know of any really good marinades or dry rubs for brisket?
Would Grilling or Crock Pot be better?
I could also do it in the oven but I don't want to sweat to death in my condo...but if this works out better then I am willing to consider it.
Any and all advice you can give me would be great considering I've never done this before. Thank you very much!
please look at questions before answering. I know Low & Slow...but with what method?
BBQ BEEF BRISKET
3 oz. bottle liquid smoke
5 to 6 lb. beef brisket
1 bottle "Cooks BBQ sauce"
Celery salt
Onion salt
Garlic salt
Salt and pepper
Meat tenderizer (optional)
Worcestershire sauce
Pour liquid smoke over brisket and rub on all sides. Sprinkle with celery salt, garlic salt, onion salt and meat tenderizer. Place brisket in refrigerator covered with foil. Leave overnight. When ready to bake, sprinkle both sides of beef with salt, pepper and a little Worcestershire sauce. Bake covered 5 hours in 275 oven. Uncover meat and pour about 1/2 bottle BBQ sauce over it and continue baking 1 hour uncovered. Remove meat; remove fat from juices. Add flour to thicken the juice. Then add more BBQ sauce, if desired. Serve with the sliced brisket. Allow brisket to cool before slicing; slice thin across the grain. Slices may be reheated when ready to serve or wrapped and frozen.
