Can I use a pot or pan on a portable grill? I am looking for a new camping grill and am not sure what to buy

I had a standard Coleman gas one with a burner on one side and a grill on the other. It just broke so I need to buy a new stove and/or grill. If I buy a portable gas grill without a burner can I put a pot, pan or coffee percolator on it? Also, if I get one of these... Is it safe to use lava rocks or briquettes? Won't this help with heat distribution? So far the Weber Go-Anywhere Grill looks like something that might work but I am not sure about the above questions. Thanks a ton!
The Weber Go-Anywhere grill is great. Of course you can put a pot on it and use it like a stove. The thing I like about the Weber's is the temp is easy to control. I use the propane model, but Briquettes are fine on the other models, not on the propane ones though.

Turn on the gas. Hold a lit match or lighter at the gas valve inside the grill. It should light.

Camping Food?

I will be camping at the beach for a week this summer and I am looking for some suggestions for camping food items that are easy to fix, will keep well, and will be tasty! There will be a grill, Coleman stove, and cooler available. Thanks!
Sandwiches are always good for lunch, you can even makea grilled cheese (you can buy grilled cheese makers for the fire even) You can also make potatoes really easily ion the fire.
For breakfast pancakes, eggs, or bacon are pretty easy to make. ANd for dinner, hot dogs, brats, hamburgers or shiskabobs work. You can also roast corn on the cob. Just dont forget condiments for all this stuff. Hope its fun!

I want to purchase a portable gas grill... two options - Coleman Roadtrip Pro Grill (345" 24K BTU, $200) or the Charbroil grill2go Advantage (205" 16K BTU, $190). What do you think?
Get te bigger one its only ten bucks more and youre getting over a 100'' and 8000K BTU. I'd say the roadtrip is your best bet.

Ok guys, so i've heard of Gary Coleman from making a grill thingy. But, on yahoo they have a short video of him in court getting a divorse. His wife was saying that he has temper tantrums and gets mad and bangs his head on the wall.... umm does anyone know anything else importanat about him? like does he have any mental issues or anything?
