Turkey leg recipe needed quick!!!?
Tonight my fiance offered a turkey leg recipe showdown. I cook 2 he cooks the other 2. I'm in need of a recipe quick!!!!!
I have on hand, onion, celery, tomato, ALL types of spices, Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, rice/balsamic vinager, milk, soy sauce, italian dressing, liquid smoke, flour, capers, fish sauce, fresh garlic, lime, and oranges.
Side items I'm thinking red potatoes, frozen broccoli, or baby bok choys....
*note - I don't have an outdoor grill!, I know sucks. Thinking oven, Fry, or Broil....
( please no comments on how nice/fun it is to cook together, we do it all the time! ) Thank you!

Who the heck uses an outdoor grill at 2am while it's 17 degrees?!?
The Jackas is on his deck cooking something on the grill with the damm spot light comming though my window what the heck is wrong with this guy.
How do you cook and prepare your burger to make it extra tasty?
Stovetop or outdoor grilling?
Charcoal, gas, or wood?
And what kind of wood - oak, mesquite, hickory, etc?
Do you flip the patty often, or just twice?
And how do you fix your buns?
A secret spice? The whole works?
Do you toast them, too?
Not a contest - just a friendly question to gather tasty ideas!
Shawn, that sounds fantastic!
phishfour, that's good advice, and yea, worcestershire is a nice touch.
Sounds like that peanut butter guy likes to get his buddies to contribute to his burger.!
Various spices. A dash or two of worcestershire sauce. Handle the meat as little as possible otherwise you will have a hockey puck.
Only flip once. the more you move the meat the more juice you will lose.
Burgers should be made with meat that has a decent fat content. You can not make a good burger with lean meat.
Most importantly though, do not mash the burgers down with your spatula. When you mash it down and you hear that great sounding sizzle what you are doing is squeezing all the juice out. That is the last thing you want to do.
Big Green Egg Grill vs. Convection oven?
I am looking to buy a good convection oven so I can begin baking-- but have recently come across a grill that can bake, barbecue, smoke and grill EXCELLENTLY!
And I was wondering has anybody had any experience with baking pastry or bread on the Big Green Egg?
Is it better than the convection oven? I know it can get up to extremely high temperatures paralleling it to outdoor bread/pizza ovens.
Help? Anyone?
Get the grill, they are way better...
