I would not recommend used equipment. You can get really good deal on commercial kitchen equipment these days. Leasing is an option also. Look for do some research online and look for the free shipping. We have purchased ours from http://wwwckitcehn.com (look for the Ice Machines catalog on the left). Have nothing but good things to say about this company. Also look for the energy efficient once (see Manitowoc catalog) – will save you another 200$-300$ a year.

Commercial Flaker Ice Machine made by Dixon?

I have a Commercial Dixon Flaker Ice Machine that is about 12 years old. However the Dixon Manufacturing Inc. went out of business (bought out) and I'm trying to find parts for a model. Any help would be appreciated.

try johnstone supply they sell lots of ice machine parts....most of the controls are the same .....if you have a part that is a dixon only part that you need would be the only problem you might have...

Do I need to remove the refrigerant from a commercial ice machine to change the water pump? It is a water coo?

IT is a water cooled unit.

The water is separate inside the heat exchanger from the refrigerant. You should be able to easily change the (fill) pump without recovering the refrigerant.

Commercial Ice Machine size for Bar use?

i live around Tampa and would like to start a small ice producing endeavor, so if anyone could be so kind and let me know where I can get an ice machine at a super good price or one that someone wants to get rid of, id really appreciate it.

also check out restaurants going out of business, you might be able to work out a super deal with the restaurant owner
