Should I have turned her breast milk into ice cream?

Hi, my wife is at her mothers for 2 weeks with our 6 week-old baby, and she left an entire bottle of breast milk here. I used it to make ice cream in our Cuisinart ice cream maker, and I put it all in the freezer as a surprise. I thought it would be a good idea, but I told a friend and his wife, and they thought it was very strange (they don't have kids.)
I thought it would be a nice treat for our baby in a couple of months. I have also tried some myself, and it is pretty good. My friends reaction however, has got me worried. Should I tell my wife, or just get rid of the evidence?
I think your wife will be very amused with coming home to breastmilk ice cream in the freezer. Keep it, please and tell us what she says. I think it's cute you wanted to make your baby something special to have when he's a bit older that you know will be okay for his (or her) tummy. Most men I know who have children tasted their wife's milk at some point it's not that strange at all.

I'm making French Vanilla ice cream in a cuisinart ice cream/sorbet maker.
Ironically I got my ingredients at Walmart. It tastes better fresh! I just can't remember if it's 30 mins or an hour...I guess time will tell!
im sure that you have already figured it out, since you asked this question 45 mins ago, but according to the cuisinart manual for vanilla ice cream it should take 25-30 mins!
