Can you suggested a strainer or tray?

Hello, I have a 6 quart Presto Pressure Cooker, and want to use it to steam some food, can someone suggest a strainer or basket or tray that will fit into the pressure cooker and sit above the water line? Also, if you can provide a link to buy one online, that'd be awesome, thanks!

best bet would be what is called a china cap, or chinwa! Looks like a cone with holes and a handle. It can be found at any restaurant supply store, or online.

How can I replace the gasket in my pressure cooker?

I have a that kind of pressure cooker. It has a gasket at the mouth of the cooker. I got rid of the old one but I could not place the new one. A loop was created. It seems the gasket is not the correct size. But the seller assured me that it was the correct size.

It takes a huge amount of masculine power to place the new gasket.

But I think there must be an easier way.

A little amount of vaseline helped but I do not know how can I get rid of that loop which is the similar to that one: http://pressure-cookin.com/Presto.html

But my cooker is not that type.
My cooker's gasket trench is different. It's a tight line around the top of the cooker. It takes a body builder's strength to fix it in. As I type these sentences, I hardly feel my fingers, believe me.

Vaseline was the wrong thing to do for that seal. It needs to go in dry. The link you provided has very easy, understandable instructions and all pressure cookers work the same way. You have to start with a clean channel and clean gasket, then chase the loop as the instructions say.

Where can i find stackable separators for a 6 quart pressure cooker?

I have a Presto 6-Quart Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker. I’m looking for stackable separators (aluminum or stainless steel or other type that work in pressure cookers) that will fit my pressure cooker. My grandmother used to cook multiple items at once in the pressure cooker and I can't seem find anything like the stackable inserts/separators/pans/containers that she used to use in India. I’m not looking for the steamers that have holes in them but ones that are containers. I’m located in U.S.A. and hoping someone has some ideas of how to cook multiple items in the pressure cooker or where i could find separators.

My pressure cooker came with the divider for canning, but not stackable..haven't seen that. Anyway, try going to the Presto website and see if they sell it as an accessory. Good luck!

Pressure cooker lid can't be put on?

Hi, I am using a new stainless steel 8 quart presto pressure cooker. I've been using the pan couple of times but I am having a problem with the lid now. For some reason I can't put the lid on the cooker, it gets stuck in the middle of the way. I think the white ring thing is still in good shape and there's no damage to the lid. Any ideas how to fix this?

Are you putting the lid on once it is hot? That could be the problem..Put the top on and leave it alone.
