Recipe for Rice cooker/Steamer?

I have a Aroma 8 cup digital rice cooker/steamer. The manual includes no recipes, though it says you can cook rice and veggies/meats simultaneously. I can't seem to find any recipes for this type of cooking. . . Anyone have any they would care to share?

Hi All,
I need to buy a 10 cup rice cooker as I want one which can be used when I have guests at home for lunch or dinner. I was looking at Aroma 10 cup rice coker and hamilton beach 10 cup rice cooker. Could any of you you tell me as to which one is a better brand? I am not sure about which one to buy. Plz suggest me with one of the above two.

I just boil my rice in a sauce pan. I made some for dinner tonight. You don't need a special cooker for it. Follow the directions on the package of rice.

Any brand of rice cooker will do....DO NOT buy one with an attached cover...they are hard to keep clean.
The trick is to get to know your rice cooker and the perfect amount of water for perfect rice.
I also have found that a very small amount of vinegar(1/2 tsp & a pinch of salt will help your rice from spoiling and you CANNOT taste either once the rice is cooked.
I cook rice every other day.....I make fried rice with the left overs.

Where can I find main course recipes for my Aroma rice cooker with steamer tray?

I bought an Aroma rice cooker that also has a steamer tray. On the side of the box, it shows that you can cook rice in the main compartment, and put chicken and vegetables in the steamer tray above and cook it all at once, but there are no recipes or directions for this in the user manual, nor could I find a manufacturer's website. Can anyone point me to some recipes for grains, meat, and vegetables all cooked at the same time in a rice cooker, preferably ones that specifically account for a separate steamer tray?

I am plaining to make sushi by the aroma rice cooker, how much water should i put in for every cup of sushi?

the booklet for the rice cooker said for 2 cups i should have 4 cups of water, when i did this, it was something that reminded me of gruel, and i am not asking for more (Oliver)

The proper rice to use for sushi is short grained such as CalRose. Using either a rice cooker or a heavy pot with a tight-fitting lid use equal portions of rice and water. Rinse the rice until the water runs clear. Do NOT add salt. Never lift the lid during cooking. After the cooker clicks off, remove the lid and gently scoop the rice from the bottom up with a wooden/bamboo/plastic (never metal) rice paddle. Cover it and let it steam for several more minutes. This is the traditional Japanese way.

Rice Cooker Recipe : Curry Chicken
If you darling to use rice cooker to cook simple meal and love my early post that using rice cooker to cook spaghetti, then I might have this another open rice cooker recipe for you to try out.
The Curry Chicken.
Hmm, I love curry chicken, and using rice cooker to cook curry chicken can be friendly as 123:)
Well here is the recipes:
Ingredients To Prepare
2 tablespoons oil
2 cups water
1 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons curry control
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 (8 ounce) can tomato nerve
1 (8 ounce) package zatarain’s jambalaya mix
3/4 cup ordinary-looking yogurt
1/2 cup golden raisin
1/3 cup chopped cashews
Action By Step Instruction:
Hit Cook and place oil in pan then Add onion and garlic; cook and stir 5 minutes or until onion is tender-hearted.
Add curry powder; cook and stir 2 minutes.
Add water, tomato gravy, Jambalaya Mix chicken and raisins mix well.
Close Lid and hit COOK after cooker switched over to Warm change to off the Rice cooker and stir in yogurt.
Let stand 5 minutes. Sprinkle with cashews.
Now, it’s on the brink of to serve:)
