if hyperthetically speaking..... u sprayed it in fronnt of a fan...woood that be the same as instant air condition?

colgate toothpaste!!!!! works wonders on jewlery, mix with a little water and use an old toothbrush... like new!!!!

Anyone know of a portable, compact steamer for de-wrinkling clothes that heats up fast and works well?

I like the Rowenta, but cannot recommend the Conair. The Rowenta doesn't spit, has a large tank so you don't have to refill as often and it heats up much faster than the Conair. I had the Conair and returned it because it spit and left water stains on garments and hanging drapery upholstery. Plus, it had a tiny tank that was inconvenient to remove and fill. I returned the Conair and replaced it with the Rowenta and find it just works better for more applications.

looking for a small black portable steamer with the name steam x- help? looked at ebay already and no luck?

i want to design a portable steamer. so any one have any idea??

No matter where the energy is coming from, you will always need 4200J. of energy to make 1kg. of water 1° hotter, and 2 260 000J. to turn 1kg. of water already at 100° into steam.

In practice, you will be using more energy than that, because some heat will be lost to the outside.

You say the appliance is portable. Is it only ever going to be used where mains power is available? If not, it will have to be fuel-burning. If you design your flueways carefully, you can recover more of the heat from the fire (combustion gases carry away heat and KE).

Minimise your losses by insulating everything well, using materials with a low specific heat capacity and using no more water than strictly necessary.
