anyone know the name for them vintage/retro pictures, they have funny sayings on them?
il give an example, one of them i know has a 50's looking woman on and it says 'if it fits in a toaster i can cook it'
and another says 'i only have a kitchen because it came with the house'

Delonghi Metropolis Microwaves?

I'm am searching for a Delonghi Microwave to match the 'Metropolis' kettle and toaster.
I am sure when I bought them a few months ago there was a microwave to go with them - anyone know if this is the case? Or anyone know of a similar looking microwave?
The Metropolis range is gunmetal in colour and quite a retro design.

in a few months i will be tiling the kitchen wall, im thinking black and white tiles on one wall. My fridge freezer, cooker, washing machine & dishwasher are all silver. I am thinking of brightening up the kitchen with new funky accessories. Kettle/toaster etc need renewing anyway and i would like to make it more colourful but still keeping a diner style look.
I like delonghi products. What else like that?
gingham or checkered linens! red and white, black and white! very cool. also add a canister set, you can get some gorgeous metal sets, and a bread box to match! recently saw a set in ivory with the words in a choice of red or green or blue or black. get your small appliances in black! very cool and adds a punch! if you want color use it in small things like your tea towels, tablecloth, oven mitts, - things you can change without breaking the bank!
your kitchen sounds great! i hope you really enjoy it! btw when you get around to tiling, do the majority of tiles in white, with either the top row in black tiles, and/or just the odd black tile here and there. much more than that and you will get tired of it really quick!

My Kettle is broken?

Although I have had it for about 5 years it was in storage for a while while I lived in a shared house, it's probably only been used for 2 years maximum. You have to hold the switch down whilst it boils or it switches itself off. (very annoying)
The thing is I really like it and it matches my toaster - its retro style kenwood brushed steel. I can't find the same one anywhere.
Can I get it fixed? Do people bother to fix kettles?
Look for someone in your area that does small appliance repair. The switch needs to be replaced.

I have a Cuisinart Toaster; last night it was working, this morning the lever won't stay down; any ideas why?

It's less than 1 year old, I don't know the model buy it's brushed stainless and kind of retro looking. We made BLT's last night, and now the bread won't stay down in the slot! It's not "catching" or however that works.
I can't find the receipt; I bought it at Sam's Club. Any ideas on how to get it to work?
Check to make sure it is plugged in and also check that the breaker is on, we had the same problem in our kitchen and we have those special plugins with the test and reset buttons and the reset button needed to be pushed...make sure to check the breaker in the basement too. Good Luck hope it starts working!
